I was raised by my grandparents and have lived with them since I was two years old. When my grandfather passed away a little over a year ago, I realized how quickly everything could be taken away from me. I have since been photographing my grandmother, our dog, and myself in our daily existence at home showing the great companionship we all share. One never knows how much time we have with the people that we love. In the middle of this project my grandmother unexpectedly passed away, just two weeks before the one-year anniversary of my grandfather’s death. Suddenly there I was without her and now had to somehow live in our home. Shortly thereafter, my dog passed away as well. I admired, cherished, and loved my family. My life is different now, without the family I once had.
